It's difficult sometimes to look at your own country the way you look at countries that have vastly different cultures and lifestyles to your own. I've been fortunate to travel to a number of countries in the world and experience that feeling of excitement at seeing something new and at times confronting where every turn reveals a new surprise. Australia is vast and once you are free from the cities it's a daunting place of endless plains and flies and other nasties but I do love travelling in it and experiencing it's uniqueness.
