The fur kids
The hardest part about leaving for holiday, aside from the packing, the shopping, the indecision of what to bring is sending off the fur kids to kitty camp. They do get to stay at a pretty cool place down near the National Park but it almost breaks our hearts to see them in their carry cases.
So here we are day 1 of our African Adventure or should I say a few hours into our adventure. In fact we are still firmly in Terra Australis staying in the Hilton airport hotel at Tullamarine! We have an early morning flight out and rather than try and scramble to catch an early flight from Sydney and connect with the VAustralia flight we decided to come down the night before.
The hotel is only a few minutes from the terminal and we can see it clearly from the room. We've been down to the gym to work out, swam a few laps in the pool, enjoyed the steam room and relaxed in the spa and now we've just ordered up room service.
All in all a good start and we will be fit and ready for our 17 hour flight to Johannesburg in the morning.
