Pomena waterfront & landing wharf

Le Lyrial is anchored just off the small village of Pomena on the island of Mjet, Croatia.  Pomena nowadays has its hotel, couple of restaurants and coffee bars, souvenir shops, agencies etc… Pomena, as a bay, is a very safe place for anchorage, being sheltered by tiny island of Pomestak, which acts as a local naturist beach too.

Village at Pamona

Located only 15 minutes walk from Malo Jezero (small lake) of Mjet National Park the village is a convenient disembarkation point for PONANT passengers who want to visit and swim in the beautiful salt water lake.

Canoeing on the lakes

Mljet National Park is large area that borders two salt water lakes - Veliko and Malo Jezero (Large and Small Lake). The Lakes stretch for about 4 kilometres. Right in the middle of the Large Lake there is a small island / islet Melita (Sveta Marija) with large building of former Benedictine monastery, erected there in 12th century (see photo above). The monastery’s building is now café/restaurant. The small island is connected by boats that sail there from both sides of the Lake.
