Due to circumstances explained in the post I had to remove Pickaxe AI from my virtual tour. That led me to build a custom solution directly on AWS using Anthropic (Claude). By wiring an AI knowledge base directly into the Pano2VR tour skin via lightweight web API requests, I achieved exactly what I needed: a fast, reliable assistant with full control over the data, zero middleman markup, and true pay-per-token usage.
Midjourney - Photoshop - Magnific: Gallery Image
I’ve been working on a Pano2VR Virtual Tour project and skin with “Responsive Gallery Popups”. These popups display one or more images and descriptive text and change from landscape to portrait based on the Aspect Ratio of the browser window. In the galleries, I use images generated in Midjourney, and now I’m using Magnific to upscale them for higher quality and resolution. This post takes you through my workflow to create the final output.
If you are like me and overwhelmed by AI subscriptions, you may have opted for the least expensive Magnific plan, the monthly/yearly Magnific Pro plan. The plan indicates you can make around 200 normal upscales and 100 large ones monthly.
As there is no preview option, your tokens are consumed once you commit and click the “Upscale” button. So, how can we better manage the use of our tokens?
