Oomph outing on Sydney Harbour

Two weeks ago an email went around the Sydney office informing us of a lazy Friday afternoon harbour cruise for all of the hard working Sydney Oomph team.

If you live in Sydney you'll know it but if you don't, let me tell you it's been raining for days and this morning was no exception. I had an early morning demo in Surry Hills but by the time I got back to the office around 1pm the skies had started to clear.

We headed out of the office around 2pm. For those who don't know where we are we are actually about 5 minutes walk from the harbour and King Street wharf. We carried numerous shopping bags filled with ice, beer, wine and cider. Food was going to be supplied by the charter company.

Keith, the Boss.

We arrived right on time and only had to wait about 5 minutes for our charter yacht, the Kondor, to pull in and tie up and load all our supplies. I took a few shots of the team milling about on the dock before embarking on our outing.

Once onboard it didn't take long to cast off and head out of Darling Harbour on a long circuit of the harbour going past many of the iconic symbols of Sydney.

You have to love the many layers of Sydney

The day was ideal and the weather perfect for a great relaxing get together away from the office.

In the early evening we returned to our starting point as the sun set behind the city. It was a fantastic afternoon, in great company, under blue skies. I hope we can do it again sooner than later.
