Project Files

Let's start by reviewing the project folder. Inside the RPGTV2025_Project folder, there are 16 folders;

**BASE:

This folder contains *BASE_EN (English) and *BASE_DEMO_EN (.p2vr) files. The *BASE_EN file is the starting project file for creating the Virtual Tours.

**CLEAN_START:

This folder contains a CLEAN_START (.p2vr) file that combines the *BASE_EN and *BASE_DEMO_EN p2vr files.

**LANGUAGE_CLEAN_START:

Language translations PoEdit files for the Clean Start project are saved here.

**LANGUAGE_TAMAN:

Language translations PoEdit files for the Taman Festival project are saved here.

**TAMAN_FESTIVAL:

This folder contains a project called Taman Festival. It is a virtual tour of an abandoned amusement park in Bali. This project will be used in posts covering the Fixed buttons, floorplan-map button, and SVG map features.

**UNIVERSAL_SKIN:

The folder contains two skins;

  • UNIVERSAL_SKIN (.ggsk)

  • UNIVERSAL_SKIN_BASE_COLOR (.ggsk) and

All the projects we create in Base, Clean Start, and Taman Festival use the same base skin, UNIVERSAL_SKIN_BASE_COLOR (.ggsk), with the default font family Montserrat.

In the Exposed Color tutorial we will switch to the UNIVERSAL_SKIN (.ggsk)

UNIVERSAL_SKIN (.ggsk) is the complete skin with Exposed Colors and the Local Font Monsterat uploaded.

UNIVERSAL_SKIN_BASE_COLOR (.ggsk) is a version of the UNIVERSAL_SKIN (.ggsk) without minimal exposed colors.

To understand the difference between the UNIVERSAL_SKIN (.ggsk) and UNIVERSAL_SKIN_BASE_COLOR (.ggsk) skins please read the Universal Skin Workflow post.

*360_VIDEO_PROJECTS:

This folder contains a project 360_VIDEO (.p2vr), a skin 360_VIDEO (.ggsk), a 360 Assets folder and an output folder balloon_over_bagan.

These elements provide the content for 360˚ Video hotspot elements, as shown in the BASE_DEMO_EN project.

*ASSETS: CLEAN_START/DEMO/GENERAL/TAMAN

Everything from audio files to fonts, logos, and maps is here. These assets are used primarily in the Hotspot Popups, but some will be used in other skin elements as we progress through the tutorial.

*OUTPUT: BASE/CLEAN_START/TAMAN_FESTIVAL

This is the output folder used in the Base, Clean_Start and Taman_Festival Projects.

*TO_UPLOAD: BASE_CLEAN_START/TAMAN

The contents of this folder are loaded into the Assets/Files or Folders in the Properties - Web Output/Advanced section,

The next post, BASE PROJECT, describes how to start a new Virtual Tour Project using the *BASE_EN (.p2vr) and *BASE_DEMO_EN (.p2vr) project files.
